The GAA has a long established principle that any person who is involved in anyway with children or vulnerable adults must be Garda vetted and have completed a safeguarding course.
This is non-negotiable.
The onus is on the coach, mentor, officer, to ensure they have this simple, but HUGLEY important aspect completed.
As the Nike slogan goes.. Just do it!
This principle is enshrined in rule through our Code of of Behaviour (Underage).

Our plan is to run an in-house safeguarding course at some point.
There are, however, options outside of the club for those who may want to progress it quickly and Sheila will very kindly advise.
