🚨DPCC JUDICIAL REVIEW - NB🚨
Dear Members,
You may be aware that Donabate Community Council has launched a judicial review to Fingal County Council’s planning application to build around 400 houses in the Ballymastone area.
This action will have the effect of delaying, or possibly completely shelving, the development of the planned Sports Hub at Ballymastone.
The planned Sports Hub was to be jointly run by St Pat’s GAA, St. Itas AFC and Lambay Athletics.

The action undertaken by Donabate Community Council was done without ANY consultation with the club, and we are staunchly opposed to it.
It does not represent the view of the Executive, the membership and the entirety of St Pats GAA Club.
When this development was first mooted the club undertook a Special General Meeting to allow our members the opportunity to assess it.
That SGM was attended by nearly 200 members who voted unanimously via a secret ballot in favour.
The 3 clubs have asked DPCC to meet us, but they have not responded. We are asking as many members of our clubs as possible to make contact with them (through their website,
http://donabateportranecommunitycouncil.ie/
or by email at info@donabateportranecommunitycouncil.ie).
We ask you to request that they withdraw this judicial review, so that our club can develop to meet the needs of the community through the development of the Sports Hub infrastructure at Ballymastone.
We also ask you to consider informing them that this current action does not represent the wishes of St. Pats GAA Club, as an important local stakeholder.
If you are emailing DPCC, please copy the club secretary (secretary.stpatricksdonabate.dublin@gaa.ie)so that we can keep a tally of those who support us in this way.
Thank you.
Club Executive.
