GARDA VETTING - CHILD PROTECTION
The GAA has a long established principle that any person who is involved in anyway with children or vulnerable adults must be Garda vetted and have completed a safeguarding course.
Ger, Juvenile Chair, and Lana, Children's Officer, have been working extremely hard to upgrade the club and ensure we are fully compliant.
This is non-negotiable.
If you want to be a coach, lead mentor, officer or volunteer in any way around the club THIS MUST BE DONE.
No if's and but's.
Garda Vetting can now be done online and takes about 20minutes.
As we head into a new September turn the club will become much more diligent around who has this done and who has not?
Don't wait for the tap on the shoulder.
The onus is on the coach, mentor, officer, to ensure they have this simple, but HUGLEY important aspect completed.
As the Nike slogan goes.. Just do it!
This principle is enshrined in rule through our Code of of Behaviour (Underage).

In-House option are being run and off site options are available.
There are, however, options outside of the club for those who may want to progress it quickly and Ger and Lana will very kindly advise.
