This year, is the club's centenary year as we know, and the club is very happy to announce that we will take our place in the annual St Patrick's Day Parade on March 17th.

At this stage all of the teams have been notified.

Numbers have been assessed and gauged and we have submitted the final documents to the event management company.

We will be heading over to Swords with at least 150 juvenile players as well as 20 coaches.

This has been very well led by Joe Clancy and kudos and thanks to Joe for his time and effort.

Ordering bunting, flags, banners and making sure we have all the requisite paraphernalia. Well done Joe.

The plan is as follows:

All teams wearing club colours. We want a sea of Green and Black.

Given the parking situation it would be wise to try and use public transport if you can. Buses will be leaving from Portrane at 9.07am

It will have you in Swords Pavillions for 9.35am.

Grab a coffee and then head to the meeting point to be there no later than 10.15am

The meeting point is Colaiste Choilm. Access on both sides. Locals tell me it's called 'The Broz'

The Parade will begin at 11am

We may not move until a little later than that time.

It will start from Eddie Rockets.

It will finish down around the Carnegie Court hotel where all the players will be collected.

Club flags and banners will be provided.

Anything else in terms of face painting etc is entirely optional.

It will be a fantastic day out to Green and Black.
