It is with profound sadness that the club has learned of the tragic passing of Josephine McDon [neé Kinsella]

Josephine was a huge figure in the modern history of St Pats GAA Club.

A former member of the executive, a hugely influential figure in establishing women's gaelic football in the club and played a massive part in developing the modern strategies that largely define the club to this very day.

The imprint of Josephine's work are still evident and present in our shop, in our women's section and on the executive where she leaves a rich and lasting legacy.

We send our heartfelt sympathies to Brian and Jack.

Josephine originally comes from the Kinsella family. A family steeped and intertwined into the very fabric of the Club and the local community.

A wonderful family that has given so much in their passion, pride and selfless contribution to the lifeblood of St Pats GAA and we can only express our deepest and sincerest condolences and unwavering solidarity towards Donie, Shea, Eamonn and all the Kinsellas.

We think of you all now and are with you in heart and spirit at this very sad time for everyone.

It goes without saying.. We are there for whatever you need.

May Josephine rest peacefully.
