CÚL CAMP & MAI16
Our Cúl Camp in July was a wonderful success while August’s Mini All Ireland was one of the Events of the Year for the Parish, with over 250 participants and a squad of Referees, Mentors, Co Ordinators helping out the Committee whose WhatsApp Group Notifications beeped loud & fast through the summer!
It’s only when you see events like these come together that you realise the rich potential that lies in our wonderful Club #ProudToBePats

PITCH 2 BECOMING SAND-BASED

We have received formal approval from the Government to proceed with our sand based pitch. So much work is done behind the scenes to improve our Club and we are sincerely grateful to all those who have worked so tirelessly to bring this project to fruition.
Pitch 2 is now out of bounds while the pitch is developed, please follow the directions of your/your child’s Mentor for training & match allocation. They in turn will be guided by the Pitch Allocation Committee led by the Secretary.

CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON

All our teams are now involved in Championship action but the biggest match on the horizon for us at the moment is the St Pats v St Jude’s Quarter Final on Saturday 01 October in Balgriffin. Please save the date to come out to cheer the lads on as they aim to make the IFC Final for the second year in a row.
Making their Championship debut for the Club are our Minor Hurlers whose first game is against local rivals Sylvesters at home 10h30 on Sunday 18 September.

GAELIC 4 MOTHERS & OTHERS

We got great news earlier this month that our Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others Squad have been selected to represent Dublin at the Half Time Games of the LGFA All Ireland Final between Dublin and Cork on 25 September. Click here for more info.
They may be relatively new to football but their dedication, teamwork, fun & effort have made us all extremely #ProudToBePats 💕

FAREWELL TO MARK COOPER

They say all good things must come to an end and so it is that we must say a reluctant slán to Mark Cooper who has been our GPO for more than 7 years.
Mark has been a constant feature in all 4 local schools, he’s attended juvenile matches & school fixtures, ran Cúl Camps, Elite Camps & Mentoring Courses, taken part in more Ice-Bucket Challenges than was ever deemed advisable and stepped into more breaches than could ever be counted!
The historian Henry Adams once said “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops”; there never was a truer quote to apply to Mark. It’s a given that he’s been a fantastic influence football-wise but what other man could put a name on every child from Junior Infants to 6th year.
To show our appreciation for all that he has done for our Club & our Juveniles, there will be a presentation to him this Wednesday in Ballymastone at 19h00. That’ll be followed by a few drinks in Keelings to finish the evening off. We hope to see you there!

CAPITAL CLUB 250

By now you’ll be familiar with our Capital Club Campaign – drawn up to deliver the facilities that our members & our children need.
2017 will see CC250 deliver a sand based pitch and then an All-Weather Astro Training Area, followed by additional important projects in the coming years.
We want to avail of Government Grants of up to 85% for Capital Projects. To do this, we need 250 families to contribute €5 per week.
Our thanks to those who have already joined, congrats to the 2 participants who won the 2 All Ireland Hurling Final tickets & the 2 tickets for RTÉ’s Up For The Match in our 01 September draw.
