2015 Sports Capital Programme announcement

St Pats club has received formal approval from the Government to proceed with the sand based pitch. This is a brilliant development for the club and brings to conclusion the tender and approval process.

Thanks so much to the sub committee that came together to make this a success. The tender process involved drafting the scope of works document, interviewing the potential vendors, scoring the various tenders and making the decision on who to go with. Members of this committee included Terry Dowling, Paddy Guinan, Christy McAllister, Paul O’ Neill, Mick Duignan, Paul Kiernan and Brian McGrath.

The potential vendors themselves commented on the high skill set this group had. Thanks to this group for all their time and effort.  The group concluded the tender process by nominating Clive Richardson Limited as the vendor of choice.

The process quickly shifted to getting government approval. Members of the Finance committee, our Secretary, our Trustees and Grounds committee helped with this process. We would like to thank Terry Dowling, Jim O’Donohue, John Costello and Michael Reynolds in their capacity of trustees of the club for signing the requested documents. We would like to thank Alan Merriman for acquiring the clubs tax clearance certificate and Brian McGrath for providing support with the financial documents required. We would also like to thank Christy McAllister and Felim Mc Allister for doing all the running behind the scenes with the required documents. As always Elaine Downey worked tirelessly to support all the groups during this process.

Another great day for the club. We look forward to Clive Richardson delivering the pitch in 18 months time working closely with our grounds committee.
